Mental Health and Activism

Join us this Thursday evening for a joint empowering Zoom livestream between CAIR-NJ and Wafa House during *Mental Health Awareness Month* that dives into the topic of defining Activism Burnout; The livestream will also address how to maximize activism while minimizing the mental health effects of burnout. *Q&A will follow remarks.* bit.ly/cairnjevents

*About Our Speaker:* Mena Mohamed holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from Seton Hall University. She is employed at Wafa House as a counselor working with children and adult survivors of Domestic Violence. Mena utilizes play therapy, crisis intervention, anger management, parenting skills, and strength-based approach in her sessions. Mena is also the Preventionist for the organization and provides culturally specific trainings to Community Organizations, State Agencies and Law Enforcement. Mena has previously worked with The Division of Child Protection and Permanency and has over 5 years of experience as an investigator of child abuse and neglect.
