Heydaya Freij

Meet Hedaya Freij, our newest Public Relations Intern! Hedaya is a current senior at Seton Hall University studying Marketing, with minors in Arabic and International Business. Hedaya is currently the President of the Muslim Student Association at Seton Hall, and she hopes to help expand CAIR’s impact on more Muslim communities. Her aspiration of working for a non-profit organization led her to working with CAIR-NJ. She is dedicated to making sure all Muslim-Americans are motivated to help grow their communities and looks forward to meeting and working with a diverse set of people.

Iqra Niazi

Iqra recently graduated from Northeastern University with a degree in International Affairs and minors in Arabic and Political Science. She is excited to bring her passion for activism and social justice to CAIR-NJ and further advance its mission to empower, educate and protect civil rights, especially within New Jersey’s large and diverse Muslim population. Iqra plans to pursue a career in law in an effort to be an advocate for others and bring a voice to vulnerable members of our communities who are often overlooked and neglected.

Riean Abugana

Riean is a student at Montclair State University pursuing a degree in Business. Her determination to be involved in civil rights and social justice has led her to pursue a career with CAIR-NJ. She hopes to learn more about the current issues that are troubling her community, and help to bring change for the better.
