Abdul Abdel Sattar

Abdul Abdel Sattar is a senior at Rutgers University-New Brunswick pursuing a major in Political Science and a minor in Philosophy. At Rutgers, Abdul is involved in campus organizations including the Pre-Law Society and the Undergraduate Law Review where he is an Associate Editor. He is eager to take part in the civil rights advocacy for the Muslim Community carried out by CAIR-NJ in his Operations Management & Development Internship role. Abdul aspires to become an attorney, specifically in the field of healthcare law.

Ayah Moshet

Ayah Moshet serves as CAIR-NJ’s Legal Research & Editorial Writing Intern. Currently Ayah is a senior, double majoring in Psychology and History/Political Science at Rutgers University. Ayah passionately advocates for social justice and equity while pursuing her interests as a pre-law student in foreign policy, civil rights, and international human rights law. Fun fact: Ayah enjoys kayaking around the world! She has kayaked throughout NJ, NY, Canada, and Egypt.

Muryam Usmani

Muryam Usmani is a recent graduate from Seton Hall University, who pursued a major in FinTech (Finance and IT) and a double minor in Legal Studies in Business and Nonprofit Studies. At Seton Hall, Muryam was involved in the Pre-Law Student Association, was the Marketing Coordinator the Student Activities Board, a Tax Assistant, and has been a Resident Assistant for the last two years at Seton Hall. Currently, Muryam is completing her Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Management and would like to attend law school in the future. Muryam is excited to be the Legal Intern for the Fall-Summer term at CAIR.

Safia Khattak

Safia Khattak is a rising senior at Kean University majoring in Graphic Design and minoring in Psychology. She is the owner of an ETSY store called Safiakhattakdesigns where she uses her love for art as a platform to design clothes with meaning. She is also the co-founder of Khidma SIA, a 501c3 nationally recognized nonprofit organization that is composed of a group of powerful young service leaders who bring their voices to the development of new ideas, events, and programs. Khidma aims to support the community in its mission to grow service and increase volunteerism. She is eager to take part in CAIR-NJ’s civil rights advocacy work in her role as the Graphic Design Intern.

Wajiha SHaikh

Wajiha Shaikh is a rising senior at Rutgers University-New Brunswick pursuing a double major in Business Analytics and Information Technology and Marketing. Wajiha is passionate about civil rights advocacy and is excited to be part of this CAIR-NJ intern cohort as an Operations, Management, and Development Intern.

Suhaib jawad

Suhaib Jawad is a rising junior majoring in Government & Politics at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, NJ. On campus, he is a part of the Pre-Law Honor Society while also serving as an Editor for the FDU Undergraduate Politics & Law Journal (UPLJ). 
 
In addition, he is the Vice President of the Muslim Student Association (MSA) as well as the ASC-US Senator of the Student Government Association (SGA). Suhaib also serves on the Dean of Students Council and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Accessibility Council (DEIA). He is a Student Ambassador and Orientation Leader for the university and part of its Honors and Global Scholars programs.
 
Advocating for people and being a changemaker is what propels Suhaib forward. That is why he’s super excited to be a part of the intern cohort for the fall at CAIR-NJ.
